We are looking for experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our Bank. As a Bank worker, you can book shifts just a few hours in advance and up to six weeks ahead. 

Applications need to be made by 31 October 2022

Our Bank staff are in-demand across most wards including Neurology, Gynaecology, Respiratory, Orthopaedic and Older Person wards. We have regular and occasional work to suit your needs and can offer flexible working patterns so you can work around other commitments.

These shifts include:

Early shifts: 0700 -1300 or 0730-1330

Late shifts: 1400-2000

Long days: 0700-1930 or 0730-2000

Night shifts: 1900-0730 or 1930-0800

(shift times depends on the ward you are working on).

We need staff that are:

  • aware of the demands of working in an acute hospital and able to meet the challenges of working on the bank

There are two rates of pay for Healthcare Assistants working on the Bank

  • If  you have less than five years working in an acute hospital:
    • Annual Salary: £18,870
    • Basic: £9.65
    • Plus Annual Leave: £10.82
    • Unsocial/Saturday/Nights: £15.25
    • Sunday/Bank Holiday: £19.79
  • If you have five years or more experience working in an acute hospital:
    • Annual Salary:£19,918
    • Basic: £10.19
    • Plus Annual Leave:£11.42
    • Unsocial/ Saturday/Night: £16.10
    • Sunday/Bank Holiday: £20.89

The role requires you to have a current right to work in the UK, which enables you to undertake the role without need of sponsorship. Under current UK immigration rules this role is not eligible for sponsorship and it is not possible for the Trust to sponsor applicants for a visa for this role. Accordingly, we regret that any application will not be considered if this requirement is not met
